Forged steel work and back–up rolls
This our product line includes work and back–up rolls for cold and hot rolling of Cr-Mo and Cr– Mo–V forged steel with up to 5% Cr, as well as roll blanks. The forged rolls could be supplied in a number of grades to meet the requirements of various applications, materials and work conditions.
We can assist clients to select proper grades and parameters for optimal use of the rolls in the mill operations.

Applications:
Cr-Mo forged steel - work and back–up rolls for conventional cold rolling mills of ferrous and non-ferrous products; work rolls for hot rolling of ferrous and non-ferrous products
Cr-Mo-V forged steel - work rolls for conventional cold rolling mills under high stresses and with requirement of deep hardening
We achieve the following parameters for the work rolls for cold rolling:
- content of residual austenite < 5 %
- hardness of working layer HSC 90 – 100, deviation of HSC < 1
- working layer depth up to 45 mm
- necks – hardness HSC 40 – 45, Rm – Tensile strength 950 – _1050 MPa, Re – Yield stress 650 – 750 MPa
We can supply back-up rolls with surface hardness HSC 55 – 80 on depth > 100 mm. Forged steel back-up rolls allow higher resistance and better mechanical properties at a good price compared to cast steel rolls. Standard grades for cold and hot rolling are 3 % Cr.
